Detailed Floral Thinlets
Detailed Floral Thinlets

This card was made in response to my Pastor’s father passing away this week.  He was an older gentleman who loved the Lord, and he will be missed by his family and friends.

When I got my first peek at the 2016-17 Stampin’ Up! catalog my heart went pitter-patter when I saw the Detailed Floral Thinlets.  I purchased the coordinating stamp set, Floral Phrases, and I’ll use that on another project soon.  These are part of the Floral Boutique collection a set of beautiful papers, stamps and of course, these thinlets on page 77 of the catalog.

The detail on these thinlets is amazing and I used the Precision Cutting plate to make it cut easier and to get the small pieces out. Works like a charm!  I recommend purchasing it for all of your detailed thinlets, not just the Stampin’ Up! ones but other brands too.

Check it all of this out at my online store at by clicking the “shop now” button now at the top.

Now go and stamp something sweet!

My New Love!

Oh, I still LOVE my husband!  LOL I just have a new hobby/business that I love, along with my Stampin’ Up! business.  I am now  decorating T – shirts, for both children and adults, totes, cups, home decor…. all kinds of things!  Here’s a couple I’ve done recently..

Sue & Dawn

This is my sister-in-love and her bestie wearing shirts I decorated for them!  It says “Blessed by God, Spoiled by my husband”.  Which is so true in a Christian marriage.  Right?

And here is a not very good picture of custom shirts I did for some very special bakers I know.  The shirt says “Make Life Sweet” and has an adorable cupcake that has a sparkly wrapper.  The name of their company is “It’s a Sweet Thing”.  They bake and decorate custom cakes for any occasion and are the sweetest sisters.  We’ve been known to collaborate on parties, I do decor and paper goods, they make the cakes.

If you are interested in having a custom shirt, tote or cup made let me know.  I ship inside the US only.

Well have a great day!

A Nice Cuppa

A Nice Cuppa
A Nice Cuppa

Hi Again! Today I’m sharing a card that I made using the A Nice Cuppa stamp set, the coordinating Cups & Kettle framelets, and my new absolute favorite set in the Occasions Catalog…. Timeless Textures.

20160408_140933(1) - Copy

I’m beginning to realize that I really like these grungy, mixed up backgrounds.  I used a small piece of DSP from the stack It’s My Party and a smaller piece of Mint Macaroon.  The spoon, isn’t it just so cute, is made with Silver Foil paper.  I cut the spoon, fork and knife at the same time, even though I knew I wouldn’t use the fork and knife.  I will find a project to use them on soon and I’ll share it with you when I do.  What do you think of the grungy, shabby chic backgrounds?

This card is going to a friend who is a real tea drinker…she has rules for tea, how hot the water is, how long to steep the tea leaves, etc.  Personally, I’m like give me hot water, a tea bag and some lemon, I’m good.  LOL But I knew she’d love this card (and she did!).  Her tea cup is stamped in Watermelon Wonder and then cut with the matching framelets.  The seam binding ribbon is Calypso Coral but it’s so close… I just went with it.

Well I hope you enjoyed today’s card and come back again to check out my other creations.  Remember, all supplies can be purchased on my online store sweethoneystampinspot

Well go now and stamp something cute today!

Fear Not!

Botanical Blooms and Rose Wonder
Botanical Blooms and Rose Wonder

Hi again!  Today I have for you a card that was inspired by several different ones and I can’t tell you exactly which ones.  LOL  I used a combination of Botanical Blooms stamp set and framelet set and Rose Wonder stamp set.  Here in Isaiah 41:10 God is telling us that he will be with us and help us in our times of trouble, but He starts out “Fear Not” as if He were an angel.  Ever noticed that the first line out of all the angels in the Bible is usually “Fear Not”?  But when God is with us, what do we have to fear?  This quote from Isaiah is one of my absolute favorite stamps in the Occasions Catalog.

I used a sheet from Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper for the background and a small layer of Island Indigo. The Botanical Builders Framelets are great to use by themselves or with the stamp set.  I used them both ways on this card.  Every die cut received just a touch, if not more, of ink to give each of the flowers and leaves depth.  Here’s another shot of the card.

I hope you enjoyed the card today and visit my Stampin’ Up! online store to purchase any of the supplied used (listed below), or whatever else you’d like to have!  Thanks again!

PP288 Market Fresh

Well Hello!!!  I bet you thought you’d heard the last from me, right?  Oh No!  I’ve just been extremely busy and focused on other things and I hope to post more often now.

Today, I’m using the Market Fresh stamp set from the Annual Catalog for the card that was inspired by Paper Players 288 sketch.  What a great sketch, so easy to follow and a great way to use up scraps of your Designer Series Paper.  Speaking of DSP, I used the coordinating paper, Farmer’s Market for the front of this card.  The base is Very Vanilla (because that is the neutral color in the Farmer’s Market DSP) and on top of the Very Vanilla I used a piece of Chocolate Chip, then layered the pieces of Farmer’s market.  I also used a small piece of Daffodil Delight for the banner and a piece of Crumb Cake for the circle.

I stamped my image of the “Thanks A Bunch” with the grape bunch in Staz On because I knew I wanted to water color it.  Then  I used Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and a smidge of Chocolate Chip to color in the image.  I used my Aquapainter to do this, but you could use a regular paint brush dipped in water.   I fussy cut the image out, but you could just use a circle punch or just cut somewhat close to the image.

This card is going to a friend who recent encouraged me through a tough time.  I love this stamp set, it has all these punny sayings on fruit and vegetables.

So Punny!
Market Fresh

Well thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will get the stamp set and make some punny cards for your friends.  I’ll see you  soon!

Wonderland again!
Wonderland again!

Last week I shared a card I’d made that was CASed from my friend, Linda Heller, today I’m sharing the same card, but not the same.  It’s the same layout and stamps, but I changed the colors up a little.  I wanted to show you that you can use what you have to copy my work.  You could even use different stamp sets, one that immediately comes to mind is “Lovely as a Tree” you could even use “Happy Scenes“.   Here is a picture of the other card alongside this one.

See there is actually little difference between the two.  The base card color on this one is Island Indigo but the techniques used to make this is the same as the last one.  I did change the colors just a little.  I sponged on Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss.   The Lost Lagoon revealed quite a bit of green, which I was surprised about, but I like it.  What do you think?

Here is some good news too!  Stampin’ Up! has started the Christmas shopping early!  Today through next Monday the Online Extravaganza goes on!  There are flash sales today and next Monday so hurry on to my online store now right here to get your hands on all the goodies.  These sales are for as long as supplies last, so don’t wait.  They will sell out.  Check out the Buy 3 get 1 free Designer Paper Packs (get the paper for your Christmas cards!)

Wonderland…. Isn’t it wonderful?

Today I have a straight up CASE from my upline, Linda Heller.  Thank you Linda!  I absolutely adored her rendition of this card and had to do it.  I did change just a couple of things, like I added snowflakes in the sky and I used a different color card base.

Can you see the snow flakes?  Is snowflakes one word or two?  I’m a Florida girl, born and bred, and I’ve only seen snow once, so I’m not too experienced in the fluffy stuff.  Now, rain, I know about rain oh and heat.  I understand heat…humidity, etc.  Well one word or two, they are there.  🙂

I used a Lost Lagoon card base, I sure hope when it’s time to change the In-Colors they will keep this one.  I love this greenish-blue!  Then I had a piece of Basic Black and a piece of Whisper White.  For the image after placing a 1″ circle post it note where I’d like my moon, I did my sponging with these colors, in this order, Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon and Rich Razzleberry.  Not too much of the Razzleberry because it would take over the card.   Then I took off the post it note and stamped the Pine image from the Wonderland stamp set in Basic Black ink several times, stamping twice without re-inking.  Next I added the snowflakes with Staz-On White.  I added the banner that I’d stamped in Basic Black and called it a day.

What do you think of this card?  Does it make you long for starry nights in a pine forest?  It does for me!

The stamp set Wonderland is on the retiring list for the Holiday Catalog.  So if you want it, order it before December 31 or it will be gone!   Remember not all of the stamps and dies will continue into the next catalog but some will.  To find out what other stamps and things will retire, go to my online store and check out the list HERE, it’s organized by type for you.  Gotta love that right?

Now, I’ve got to get back to making Christmas cards and decorations…it’s coming fast! Why don’t you go and create something sweet for somebody?!
