I was looking for a way to display cards and found this kit in the Annual Catalog. I didn’t make it exactly as the picture in the catalog but tomorrow I will show you some of the things I did with the extra supplies.
If you’ve been following my blog you might recognize a few of the cards on the frame. Isn’t it a cute way to display cards? I had a fun time making the little banners with the hearts and tags and then attaching them to the frame. You can put them on it anyway you want. There is plenty of Thick Baker’s Twine to attach it with. The kit shows pom poms on one of the banners but honestly I just don’t do pom poms very well, so I left them off. I tried to use a little yellow but the banners are mostly black, white and silver. Can you see the silver hearts?
The thing I like about this is I can change the cards up any time and put other things on there too. The frame seems pretty sturdy so it would probably hold heavier items than cards. Here’s the other banner.
The kit, as all Stampin’ Up! kits, comes with a ton more than you need to do the project, even as directed. Stampin’ Up! is very generous in the kits (well worth the price), they know we all mess up sometimes and so they include extras just in case. Then you can use the extra supplies to make other things. I made 8 cards and have more supplies to make several more. Tomorrow I’ll share the first 8 cards with you. The colors are black, white, yellow and silver and quite a remarkable color combination. So clean and classic. I can’t wait to share!
