Sweet Stack Project Kit

As promised, I present to you today…. my rendition of Stampin’ Up! Sweet Stack Project Kit.

100_4065I had such a great time making this.  It is so super, super easy!  The directions for decorating the individual boxes are just suggestions.  I decorated them all different, so my cake has not only chocolate slices, it has strawberry and vanilla!  My favorite flavors!  The icing is different on different boxes and they are all so HAPPY looking!  I haven’t filled them yet, but I will, probably a little at a time when I want to surprise someone.  But you could of course make this as a centerpiece for your next party and fill them with goodies for your guests.

Here is a shot of the top layer.  See the sparkly candles?  These come with the kit and are easy to assemble, just glue two pieces together and then slip the “candle” tube over it.  I purchased the Sweet Stack photopolymer stamp set and intend to use it for birthday cards and on the “cake” slices that I will make with the new Cutie Pie Thinlit die!  The flower on top also comes with the kit and is simple to put together.  The cake stand (which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE) stores the piece to make the cake and could be used to store things.  The stand itself just slips together.

What do you think of the bows?  These are cute and the kit comes with extra ones so you could use them on all sorts of projects.

I am so awfully frugal that I saved the left over gold Glimmer Paper (from the candles) and I’ll use that as little tags on future cards.  The supplies that Stampin’ Up! sends with Project Kits go farther than just the kit.  Stampin’ Up! always includes more supplies than you need to complete the particular project and I suggest you save them for other projects (cards, boxes, etc).

I love (do I say that too much?) this kit and when I first saw it in the catalog I knew I had to have this to share with you.  Here’s one more Happy picture of the kit for you….

I hope I inspired you to purchase this Sweet Stack Project Kit and use it as your centerpiece or like I am, to give gifts to friends and loved ones.  You can purchase this from my website and don’t forget the Sweet Stack photopolymer stamp set for decoration.   Now, go and create something sweet for somebody!
