Butterfly Basics

This week I sat down and made several cards, one of which I used the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set on.   Here is that card…

This card is going to be sent to a dear friend who is going through some tough times.   I’m one of those people, and I hope you are too, that like to encourage my friends when times are tough.   We know that life can be tough but if we lean on God to keep our spirits up then we can get through it and maybe even learn something from the experience.

I had gotten some Always Artichoke cardstock but hadn’t even opened the package!  I decided it was time.  So I used that and some Crushed Curry.  Then I paired them with Pumpkin Pie.  I really love the Butterfly Basic stamp set, it is very versatile and beautiful.  I used the sentiment “There is Nothing in the caterpillar that tells you it is going to be a butterfly”.  Isn’t that the truth?  We can’t see what is going to happen tomorrow, or why we are going through something awful but when we do have these times, they can turn out to be wonderful doorways to a better life or circumstances.

I added the butterfly stamped in Crushed Curry on Very Vanilla and a banner with the art stamp from the same set.  I also stamped the honeycomb stamp from the set for the background of the Pumpkin Pie piece in Pumpkin Pie.  I added a little bit of Baker’s Twine and just called it a day.  I’ve found that if you keep messing with a card or scrapbook layout by adding embellishments  it can be disasterous.  LOL

Now soon I have other cool cards that I created this week and I hope you come back and see them!  Now go and create something sweet for somebody!
