Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees

I’m really getting started on my Christmas cards and I’m sharing them with you so you can get inspired to make YOURS!   I pulled out a stamp set from the Annual Catalog, Festival of Trees and created a snow forest scene.   Then I trimmed out a Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and sat him under one of the trees.

Isn’t he just the cutest thing?  I used several different shades of blue to create the snow scene these included Lost Lagoon, Marina Mist, and Soft Sky.  I sponged the color on and used a blank piece of paper that I cut a slope out of it to give the illusion of drifts.

Can you see the falling snow?  If it doesn’t look convincing I have an excuse, I live in Florida, I’ve only seen snow in real life once! Please be gentle with your comments.  🙂

Now go and create something sweet for somebody!

  1. Hi, Cathy! I saw your post on SCS and decided to hop over to your blog! Oh my, what an adorable Christmas card, and I love the sweet scene you’ve created! That little deer is adorable! I hope you’ll consider starting a gallery at SCS so we can see your work there too. Being a SU demo, there’s so much available for you, and we have such fun with weekly challenges. Hope to see you upload soon. Hugs!
