A Nice Cuppa

Hi Again! Today I’m sharing a card that I made using the A Nice Cuppa stamp set, the coordinating Cups & Kettle framelets, and my new absolute favorite set in the Occasions Catalog…. Timeless Textures.

I’m beginning to realize that I really like these grungy, mixed up backgrounds.  I used a small piece of DSP from the stack It’s My Party and a smaller piece of Mint Macaroon.  The spoon, isn’t it just so cute, is made with Silver Foil paper.  I cut the spoon, fork and knife at the same time, even though I knew I wouldn’t use the fork and knife.  I will find a project to use them on soon and I’ll share it with you when I do.  What do you think of the grungy, shabby chic backgrounds?

This card is going to a friend who is a real tea drinker…she has rules for tea, how hot the water is, how long to steep the tea leaves, etc.  Personally, I’m like give me hot water, a tea bag and some lemon, I’m good.  LOL But I knew she’d love this card (and she did!).  Her tea cup is stamped in Watermelon Wonder and then cut with the matching framelets.  The seam binding ribbon is Calypso Coral but it’s so close… I just went with it.

Well I hope you enjoyed today’s card and come back again to check out my other creations.  Remember, all supplies can be purchased on my online store sweethoneystampinspot

Well go now and stamp something cute today!

Fear Not!

Botanical Blooms and Rose Wonder
Botanical Blooms and Rose Wonder

Hi again!  Today I have for you a card that was inspired by several different ones and I can’t tell you exactly which ones.  LOL  I used a combination of Botanical Blooms stamp set and framelet set and Rose Wonder stamp set.  Here in Isaiah 41:10 God is telling us that he will be with us and help us in our times of trouble, but He starts out “Fear Not” as if He were an angel.  Ever noticed that the first line out of all the angels in the Bible is usually “Fear Not”?  But when God is with us, what do we have to fear?  This quote from Isaiah is one of my absolute favorite stamps in the Occasions Catalog.

I used a sheet from Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper for the background and a small layer of Island Indigo. The Botanical Builders Framelets are great to use by themselves or with the stamp set.  I used them both ways on this card.  Every die cut received just a touch, if not more, of ink to give each of the flowers and leaves depth.  Here’s another shot of the card.

PP288 Market Fresh

Well Hello!!!  I bet you thought you’d heard the last from me, right?  Oh No!  I’ve just been extremely busy and focused on other things and I hope to post more often now.

Today, I’m using the Market Fresh stamp set from the Annual Catalog for the card that was inspired by Paper Players 288 sketch.  What a great sketch, so easy to follow and a great way to use up scraps of your Designer Series Paper.  Speaking of DSP, I used the coordinating paper, Farmer’s Market for the front of this card.  The base is Very Vanilla (because that is the neutral color in the Farmer’s Market DSP) and on top of the Very Vanilla I used a piece of Chocolate Chip, then layered the pieces of Farmer’s market.  I also used a small piece of Daffodil Delight for the banner and a piece of Crumb Cake for the circle.

I stamped my image of the “Thanks A Bunch” with the grape bunch in Staz On because I knew I wanted to water color it.  Then  I used Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and a smidge of Chocolate Chip to color in the image.  I used my Aquapainter to do this, but you could use a regular paint brush dipped in water.   I fussy cut the image out, but you could just use a circle punch or just cut somewhat close to the image.

This card is going to a friend who recent encouraged me through a tough time.  I love this stamp set, it has all these punny sayings on fruit and vegetables.

So Punny!
Market Fresh

Well thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will get the stamp set and make some punny cards for your friends.  I’ll see you  soon!
