Forest Friends

The Card Concept # 40
The Card Concept # 40

As I said earlier in the week, I’m into challenges this week!  Here is another… The Card Concept # 40 and here is the inspiration….

40I love the little reindeer from White Christmas stamp set and the grizzly bear.  I trimmed them both out after stamping them with Chocolate Chip ink on Delightful Dijon and Chocolate chip cardstock.  I stamped the tree image from White Christmas on the Wild Wasabi background and then added my trimmed out critters.  I also stamped a few cardinals.  These little critters are all Forest Friends.

This little cute card is going to my bestie, just because.  She really is my bestie, she’s always there for me when I need her and I try to be there for her too.  Everyone needs someone like that in their life and I’m glad I’ve got her.

You can purchase the supplies needed for this card at my online store HERE.

Another Challenge ! CYCI #88

CYCI # 88
CYCI # 88

Here is their “sketch”.  It’s not really a sketch, this week on canyoucaseit.com it was an anything goes challenge!

CYCI88

I really needed a new fall wreath, last years got a little messed up.  So I used a foam wreath form and covered it with brown burlap.  Then I added leaves that I stamped with the Vintage Leaves stamp set and cut with the Leaflet Framelits.  I added a couple of old buttons and some Linen Thread.  Then I used a little bit of our Burlap Ribbon to make a hanger and tied a small bow to the top.

This wreath is proudly hanging on my front door now.  Happy Fall!

I hope this has inspired you to create something sweet for somebody.

You can purchase the supplies needed for this wreath HERE (except the wreath form and dark brown burlap).

Freshly Made Sketches #203

I’m excited to participate in my second challenge!  Freshly Made Sketches # 203 and I combined this with my third challenge Pals Paper Arts # 267.   Here is the sketch for the FMS challenge and the colors for the PPA.

And here is my interpretation.

FMS # 203

For the background I used a selection from the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper, isn’t it pretty?  Then I used the “sun” stamp from Kinda Eclectic stamp set and made a cupcake from Sprinkles for Life using the colors in the PPA Challenge.

I hope you like my interpretation of these two challenges.  I used a little bit of Lost Lagoon ribbon to give balance.  The sun stamp and cupcake are on an oval in Whisper White I cut with the Oval Framelits.  I really like this card and hope you do too.  And I hope that it has inspired you to create something sweet for somebody!
