Wonderland again!
Wonderland again!

Last week I shared a card I’d made that was CASed from my friend, Linda Heller, today I’m sharing the same card, but not the same.  It’s the same layout and stamps, but I changed the colors up a little.  I wanted to show you that you can use what you have to copy my work.  You could even use different stamp sets, one that immediately comes to mind is “Lovely as a Tree” you could even use “Happy Scenes“.   Here is a picture of the other card alongside this one.

See there is actually little difference between the two.  The base card color on this one is Island Indigo but the techniques used to make this is the same as the last one.  I did change the colors just a little.  I sponged on Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss.   The Lost Lagoon revealed quite a bit of green, which I was surprised about, but I like it.  What do you think?

Here is some good news too!  Stampin’ Up! has started the Christmas shopping early!  Today through next Monday the Online Extravaganza goes on!  There are flash sales today and next Monday so hurry on to my online store now right here to get your hands on all the goodies.  These sales are for as long as supplies last, so don’t wait.  They will sell out.  Check out the Buy 3 get 1 free Designer Paper Packs (get the paper for your Christmas cards!)

Happy Scenes!

Happy Scenes
Happy Scenes

I know, I know, it’s October and I’ve got another CHRISTMAS card for you!  Remember, it takes awhile to make your own Christmas cards (especially if you’re making 60 or more!).  But today’s card was made with the Happy Scenes stamp set.  I love all the scenes in this set.  I stamped it in Chocolate Chip but before applying the stamp to the paper I wiped the ink off of the birds on the stamp and then reinked the stamp in those spots with Cherry Cobbler.  Then I sponged on a little bit of Soft Sky and then I stamped the “snow” with Lost Lagoon.  I framed it with the Hearth & Home Framelits in Mossy Meadow.  After I made the background it reminded me a little of candy corn, my personal favorite Halloween candy.  But that was not the look I was going for so I had to change it somehow so I added some Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  Then I added a Cherry Cobbler bow to the top of the window frame.

I’m having a lot of fun making these Christmas cards and I hope you are enjoying seeing them.  If you’d like to make your own all of the supplies can be purchased on my online store HERE.  I’ve listed them at the bottom of this post to help you.

Here’s a last look at the card.
