A Nice Cuppa

Hi Again! Today I’m sharing a card that I made using the A Nice Cuppa stamp set, the coordinating Cups & Kettle framelets, and my new absolute favorite set in the Occasions Catalog…. Timeless Textures.

I’m beginning to realize that I really like these grungy, mixed up backgrounds.  I used a small piece of DSP from the stack It’s My Party and a smaller piece of Mint Macaroon.  The spoon, isn’t it just so cute, is made with Silver Foil paper.  I cut the spoon, fork and knife at the same time, even though I knew I wouldn’t use the fork and knife.  I will find a project to use them on soon and I’ll share it with you when I do.  What do you think of the grungy, shabby chic backgrounds?

This card is going to a friend who is a real tea drinker…she has rules for tea, how hot the water is, how long to steep the tea leaves, etc.  Personally, I’m like give me hot water, a tea bag and some lemon, I’m good.  LOL But I knew she’d love this card (and she did!).  Her tea cup is stamped in Watermelon Wonder and then cut with the matching framelets.  The seam binding ribbon is Calypso Coral but it’s so close… I just went with it.

Well I hope you enjoyed today’s card and come back again to check out my other creations.  Remember, all supplies can be purchased on my online store sweethoneystampinspot

Well go now and stamp something cute today!

Hello Life Project Cards

Today’s cards are some of the ones made for my husband’s friend as mentioned in yesterday’s post.  Today I used left over supplies from the Hello Life Project Kit.  I have two cards for you today, both using the left overs.  I know some people don’t like leftovers, but when they are supplies from Stampin’ Up! kits, how can you not?  LOL

See the thin little strip of silver foil paper?  I cut that from the piece that the silver foil hearts were cut from.  When I put it on the card, it just seemed to balance it.  I stamped the small empty heart on the black chalk heart with StazOn Opaque white. I layered the banners from the kit with a piece of Hello Honey.  It’s a simple card that I hope you like.  Here is the other card…

This one is pretty much the same layout, flipped, and I used a silver foil heart that came in the kit with small strips of Basic Black and Hello Honey.  If you look very closely you can see me reflected in the heart as I take the picture.  That is how reflective and shiny the silver foil paper is.

And another view of the first card.

I mounted all of these pieces on a Whisper White background.   I hope today inspired you to purchase the Hello Life Project Kit and after making the kit keep the left overs, because there will be leftovers, and create something sweet for somebody!
