Wonderland again!
Wonderland again!

Last week I shared a card I’d made that was CASed from my friend, Linda Heller, today I’m sharing the same card, but not the same.  It’s the same layout and stamps, but I changed the colors up a little.  I wanted to show you that you can use what you have to copy my work.  You could even use different stamp sets, one that immediately comes to mind is “Lovely as a Tree” you could even use “Happy Scenes“.   Here is a picture of the other card alongside this one.

See there is actually little difference between the two.  The base card color on this one is Island Indigo but the techniques used to make this is the same as the last one.  I did change the colors just a little.  I sponged on Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss.   The Lost Lagoon revealed quite a bit of green, which I was surprised about, but I like it.  What do you think?

Here is some good news too!  Stampin’ Up! has started the Christmas shopping early!  Today through next Monday the Online Extravaganza goes on!  There are flash sales today and next Monday so hurry on to my online store now right here to get your hands on all the goodies.  These sales are for as long as supplies last, so don’t wait.  They will sell out.  Check out the Buy 3 get 1 free Designer Paper Packs (get the paper for your Christmas cards!)

Wonderland…. Isn’t it wonderful?

Today I have a straight up CASE from my upline, Linda Heller.  Thank you Linda!  I absolutely adored her rendition of this card and had to do it.  I did change just a couple of things, like I added snowflakes in the sky and I used a different color card base.

Can you see the snow flakes?  Is snowflakes one word or two?  I’m a Florida girl, born and bred, and I’ve only seen snow once, so I’m not too experienced in the fluffy stuff.  Now, rain, I know about rain oh and heat.  I understand heat…humidity, etc.  Well one word or two, they are there.  🙂

I used a Lost Lagoon card base, I sure hope when it’s time to change the In-Colors they will keep this one.  I love this greenish-blue!  Then I had a piece of Basic Black and a piece of Whisper White.  For the image after placing a 1″ circle post it note where I’d like my moon, I did my sponging with these colors, in this order, Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon and Rich Razzleberry.  Not too much of the Razzleberry because it would take over the card.   Then I took off the post it note and stamped the Pine image from the Wonderland stamp set in Basic Black ink several times, stamping twice without re-inking.  Next I added the snowflakes with Staz-On White.  I added the banner that I’d stamped in Basic Black and called it a day.

What do you think of this card?  Does it make you long for starry nights in a pine forest?  It does for me!

The stamp set Wonderland is on the retiring list for the Holiday Catalog.  So if you want it, order it before December 31 or it will be gone!   Remember not all of the stamps and dies will continue into the next catalog but some will.  To find out what other stamps and things will retire, go to my online store and check out the list HERE, it’s organized by type for you.  Gotta love that right?

Now, I’ve got to get back to making Christmas cards and decorations…it’s coming fast! Why don’t you go and create something sweet for somebody?!

Jolly Christmas!

Jolly Christmas!
Jolly Christmas!

I know, I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving (next week!) yet, but you also know that we crafters need to start early on our Christmas cards, gifts and decorations, if we are going to get them out before Christmas! LOL  So I’m working here!  I used the Jolly Christmas stamp set for this card today.  I fell in LOVE with this reindeer image when I first saw it and just knew that I’d use gold embossing powder on it.  It stamped beautifully and embossed like a dream.  All of the stamps used on this card are from this set, except the “Silent Night”.  That stamp is from the Wonderland stamp set.

Can you see the shimmer of the embossing?  I framed the Silent Night banner with a small piece from the Home for Christmas DSP then added one of my mom’s gold buttons with a little Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine.  I pulled a few of the gold sequins off of the Gold Sequin trim and scattered them around with a little bit of glue from the new Fine Tip Glue Pen.  If you haven’t tried this yet, you need to, the application is truly fine.  Use it sparingly and let it dry for a little while before moving your creation.

The background, or base card, is Tip Top Taupe.  It looks different colors in these pictures, even though I tried to adjust the color but it didn’t quite make it.   You can get all of the products needed for this card (except Mom’s button LOL) from my online store HERE.   This card would be a quick and pretty easy card with a lot of WOW factor.

The card base is Tip Taupe Taupe cut 4 1/4 X 8 1/2.  The Mossy Meadow square is 2 3/4 X 3 and the Very Vanilla where the reindeer is stamped is 2 1/2 X 2 3/4.  The small strip of Home for Christmas DSP is 1″ X 3″ and the Very Vanilla strip is 1/2 ” X 3″.

So what are you waiting for?  Christmas is just around the corner!!! Get to creating something sweet for somebody!
